WE HAVE MOVED! PLEASE AND COME JOIN US THERE!
Welcome
For so long now, the world has been at peace. It's been protected by our saviors, the ones that we call 'heroes'. As days go by, the crime rates go down, and the citizens begin to feel safe again. Some people are even going as far as creating small little celebrations in honor of these heroes. However, there are those few that wish that they would just leave our world forever.

One of these people was a man named Lucious Panington. As a scientist at Wayne Industries, it had always been his goal to become a top employer. But as he begins to ponder the identity of Batman, he notices similarities between Bruce Wayne, and this strange superhero. Confronting his boss, Lucious is eventually kicked out of the industry, but it didn't stop him from doing his work.

In a crazed attempt to fuse himself with Batman, Lucious is seriously injured, and might even die from his injuries. Not knowing what to do, Batman (Bruce Wayne), left Lucious for the ambulance. Feeling his life drifting away, Lucious knew that it was the end. Minutes later, the ambulance arrived too late. Lucious was dead.

Gotham City blamed Batman for what had happened, and he soon became rejected by the people. Crime began growing in drastic rates, and not even this once legendary super hero could stop it. His one mistake had severed the only life line that the world had at peace. Gotham was just the beginning, and soon crimes began erupting throughout the world, and the super heroes became the enemies.

At this time, the villians began to plot the final downfall of these hated heroes. One by one, they began taking down the heroes. The people that had once saved the world time and time again, now needed help. Some gave up on the people of the world, claiming that if they weren't wanted, then they wouldn't fight back. But a few stayed behind, and are now fighting to bring what they once had into the light.

"I was thinking of getting five pieces of chicken, and two biscuits." He told Hunter before ordering the food. Although Hunter liked saving the food, V liked to just eat it all at once. Grabbing the food, he walked over to a table and plopped himself down, giving Hunter his food before grabbing his own. They were far enough away from the others that they wouldn't be able to be overheard that easily, but that didn't mean it wasn't possible. "I'm surprised that the police called Demos Aries so soon. But I guess that it was worth it. The police would never have been able to take care of it themselves." He said, acting like he wasn't there. This was merely just in case someone overheard. He wasn't so ignorant that he'd talk about his secret identity in front of everyone.

Hunter took a bite out of a piece of chicken, nodding in agreement. He made sure to chew and swallow before he replied, to not talk with his mouth full. That wouldn't be polite. After swallowing, Hunter replied "That V guy did a heck of a good job taking out those two... what were they? Animals? Giant talking animals?" He said, also playing it safe. They'd talk about it in more detail once they returned home. Hunter picked up his chicken and took another bite. Delicious. He'd wanted chicken for a while now.

"From what I heard from the police, it sounded like the guy with a club did some experiment or something on them. They looked nowhere near as strong as the guy did, though. Did you see what he did to that place?" He asked, referring to the shock waves that had broken most of the area apart. The police would have a hell of a time getting enough money to fix the place again. Most likely Wayne Industries would help out. They were fairly generous to the public these days.

"I heard the villains got away in the end. Luckily, very few people were hurt badly. I don't even think anybody died, from what I heard." He said, taking a bite out of his biscuit, before talking right away. "I heard that all the money was safely returned to the bank. Good thing, too. It means that nobody who uses that bank will lose any money." He said, before noticing his mouth was full. He swallowed the food and immediately said "Sorry for talking with my mouth full like that."

Hunter knew that the news would be in the newspaper really soon. most likely within the week. Even though Demos Arie wasn't that liked, news of them doing good deeds always made it into the newspaper in Tokyo.

"That's alright." David said as soon as the words left Hunter's mouth. He was used to Hunter by now, and understood him more than most people. "They did a good job, I guess. Saved the people, and that's what counts." he said as got through half of his food already. It was like he hadn't eaten in forever. The food just tasted so great (or maybe it was the fact that he hadn't eaten since the day before?). "All that I'd like to know is if those animals are the only ones. If he wanted to, that guy might be able to create an army of them." David said ominously. He could already see that. Wouldn't be the first time a criminal tried to take over the world with his creations.

"I dunno, the stuff he had to use probably cost a lot of money. Unless he's rich, it wouldn't be that easy." Hunter said, shrugging before finishing off his third piece of chicken. Hunter had been quite hungry after the long battle, and had such an appetite that he could probably finish off more than half of his food. But he probably wouldn't. He always saved about half for the next day. Two of his biscuits were also gone. Hunter ate quite fast.

Little did Hunter know, Makoto was indeed rich. But, luckily for them, he had no plans to take over the world. He considered the idea simply preposterous. All he wanted control of was most, if not all of the business in Tokyo. He didn't want to control any countries or cities physically, only financially.

David nodded as he finished all of his food. He'd been putting as much as he could into his mouth, and was now conscious that everyone had been watching him eat. Wiping off his mouth with his napkin, he leaned back and sighed. "At least they don't have to worry about that at the moment." He said as much to himself as to Hunter. His memories flashed back to an event that had caused the United States much terror and destruction. Some freak called the Joker had attempted to turn the people of the world into his slaves by using Joker Venom. Around those days, V had been in control and full of darkness. Unable to control it, David had nearly faded away, being forced to watch as innocent people were killed with his hands. He just hoped that neither of those two things happened again. The world had seen enough darkness. It was time that they stepped into the light.

Standing up with his food, Hunter smiled. "So, shall we head to our respective houses?" He asked. Though the two were close friends, they didn't live together. Due to V's high ranking, Hunter couldn't deal with living at his home, so instead Hunter lived in an apartment on the west side of Tokyo, close to the Demos Arie base. He wasn't that far from V's house either.

V nodded before standing up and looking around. "See you tomorrow, Hunter. Take care of yourself." He said as he started walking towards the door. Remembering, he turned back towards Hunter. "Do you want a ride to your home? I could always get my driver to drop you off there." He offered. He didn't really want to see Hunter go that far on foot.

(That's alright. I'm planning on making some big event happen once V gets to his home, though)

Hunter shook his head. "No thanks. I can get there. I don't wish to pester you. Anyway, a bus ride won't hurt." Hunter said. In truth, he wasn't planning on taking a bus. He was planning on temporarily changing back into Shadow and using his powers to fly himself home. V could probably tell from the grin on his face.

Picking up a bag with his food in it, Hunter walked out, and saluted to V before walking off. Once he was a good distance away, Hunter walked into a nearby alley. What he found was disturbing to him. A gang of men attacking a poor man, who appeared to be wearing a suit. Hunter quickly turned into shadow and set the KFC down.

"Hey, I'd suggest you stop that." Shadow said, looking at the men. One of them turned and smirked.

"Oh, if it isn't Shadow. Whatcha gonna do, use your freakish shadow powers to beat us up? Listen, freak, nobody likes you Demos anymore! Now scra..." He said, but was cut short by the shadows under him launching up in the form of a fist into his stomach.

Hunter smiled. "To tell the truth, I don't much care. I just know that I'm doing the right thing by taking you to prison." He said, snapping his fingers as the other two gang members were grabbed by the shadows near the wall, and flung to the ground with force.

The leader of the gang growled, and lunged at Hunter, who raised his left hand up, causing the shadows to move up and block the attack. Hunter then proceeded to punch the man in the stomach, and followed up with a kick to the head, which knocked him to the ground. Reaching into his pocket, Hunter grabbed a cellphone, calling 9-1-1.

"Hello? I need the police. This is Shadow, leader of Demos Arie. I found some men attacking an innocent bystander in an alley about one block away from the KFC on Burdle Street. The alley's inbetween a hardware store called Burkleys, and a house. Yea. Thanks. They're currently unconscious, all three of them. The man is still here, hopefully he'll be able to help jail these men." Hunter said, then nodded, then closed the cellphone. Smiling, h bowed towards the man. "I'd like for you to enter the hardware store and wait for the police to arrive. These men will be out cold for a while, so they won't bother you anymore. Just fill the police in on what happened." He said, nodding at the man.

The man nodded and said "Thank you, sir! You have no idea how much it means to me!"

Hunter smiled before ordering the shadows to lift him up and carry him home.

V sat in the back of the limo, pondering all that had happened today. As they finally pulled up to his house, V payed the driver some extra money and headed on in. Money was nothing in his world. It was easy to come by, and just as easy to get rid of. Might as well give it where its worth. Unlocking the door, he walked in and closed the door behind him. Right as he was about to turn on the lights, his body jerked suddenly and he fell to the ground. Pain started erupting throughout his body, almost identical to when he had gained his suit. He would've screamed if he could bring himself to open his mouth, but there was too much pain to do that. His brain was trying to cope with things as it was without working even harder.

It seemed like hours had passed as he writhed on the ground, unable to control himself. The pain merely got greater and greater. As he rolled around on the ground, David barely comprehended that his suit had appeared on himself. The weirdest part about it was that he hadn't commanded it to appear. If he lost control of it, then everything he'd worked for would be ruined. He couldn't let something like this happen. Struggling to stop the pain, he eventually gave up. Then it was all over. Lying on the ground for a while later, V rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself off of the ground. Looking at himself, he noticed that pieces of his suit were missing, as if they'd been ripped off. But luckily (and strangely) the suit was healing itself, slowly coming back together.

"Nice suit." A voice said through the darkness. Spinning around, V caught a gun that had flown out of his suit. Pointing it at where the voice had came from, fear appeared throughout his body. The person in front of him was wearing the same exact outfit as V, except the V had been replaced with a V. If what he was thinking was true, the part of the suit that had taken him over years ago had just now been unleashed with nothing to control it. "So, David. After all these years, it seems like the only person able to unleash me was that wolf. Yes, something inside it had awakened me, stronger than ever too." The voice said.

"Shut up! I won't let you out of here!" He yelled knowing that he had to do something. Knowing also that he probably wouldn't be able to win this fight, he pulled out a cell phone and dialed Hunter's number. As soon as Hunter picked up, V closed the cell phone. That should be enough to make Hunter realize something was up. "Now, let's get this over with."

Hunter opened up the cellphone, hearing it ring, as he looked at it. He noticed that as soon as he had picked up, the line had been cut. And to top it off, it was V on the other end. Immediately knowing something was up, considering V always made sure to tell him if he had called the wrong number by mistake, Hunter clicked his fingers and changed course, headed for V's mansion. He was still far away, so it'd take a while.

Meanwhile, V was no fighting for his life. Shade was stronger than any opponent he had ever faced before. Every time he tried to attack, Shade would merely dodge it, before launching his own attack which usually hit. 'I can't go on like this...' He thought to himself as he dodged Shade's punch. From out of Shade's arm came a silver knife that caught in V's shoulder. It seemed that Shade had taken some weapons with him. Maybe he shouldn't have called Hunter. If things ended badly, then it would be his fault. Trying to keep those thoughts out of his mind, V pulled out two automatics, but Shade was faster. A full set of bullets entered V's body, causing him to stumble back. Before he fell to the ground, Shade managed to get one last punch in that sent him flying into the wall.

"You're weak. I'm surprised Hunter stayed with you so long." Shade told V. Pointing one of his guns toward the fallen hero, he suddenly stopped. From what V could see, Shade was in some kind of pain. Could Hunter have arrived already. Looking around, he made sure that his leader...no, his friend wasn't there. Before he could take control of his opponent's hesitation, V slowly fell into unconsciousness.

Standing over V, Shade started backing up. 'Seems that we're tied together stronger than I imagined. If he dies, so do I. Or could it be if his suit dies? Without a living host it would slowly decay until it disappeared completely. And at the moment, Shade had no idea how to take the suit off, if it was even possible. Sighing, he shook his head, still in pain from the injuries that V had taken. Anything V felt, Shade would feel later. "Guess you live today, hero." He spat before turning and leaving. Hunter would be there to fix him up. The bullets hadn't hit any vital organs on purpose.

Shadow arrived in front of the large building, spear in hand, as he ran straight through the front door. As he passed by the guard, he quickly said, "I received a distress call. Going to investigate." The guard, hearing him, didn't try to stop him.

Shadow ran into the building, then remembered where his room was. Running to the location, Hunter kicked open the door, ignoring the lock. The door flew open, and Hunter walked into the dark room, keeping the lights off just in case. Hunter looked around, and then noticed his friend on the ground, bleeding.

He knew that running over and picking him up wouldn't help, he needed medical assistance. Hunter turned and ran out of the room, and returned five minutes later with some of the staff. Luckily, a few of V's butlers were practiced doctors.

"We need to get him help! Somebody, call the hospital. It doesn't look like any vital points were hit, but he still needs medical aid!" Said one of the butlers, and Shadow nodded, flipping open his cellphone and dialing 9-1-1 for the second time that day. A new record.

As soon as the phone picked up, Shadow explained the situation and gave directions to the location of the attack. He also, once again, explained his identity.

V slowly opened his eyes, realizing that Hunter and some of his staff were in front of him. "Looks like...I did it...this time..." He said, happy that he was in his human form instead of his suit. His memory flashed back to Shade and wondered why he wasn't dead yet. He smiled slightly as he realized that he was free from the darkness inside of him. But...that also meant that it was no out in the world, causing destruction and chaos. He vowed right then and there that he would hunt the being down, and put an end to him once and for all. "Heh...He got...away...didn't he?" V asked as he fell back into unconsciousness.
